Turning Boring Valentines Day Gifts Into Something Original

Candy and roses have definitely become a cliché gift for Valentines Day and if you give a cliché gift, be ready to answer that question 'don't you love me' or 'are you breaking up with me?' It could be worse and your wife/ girlfriend might not say it out loud, just think it over and over and make life difficult for both of you. Here are a few ways to stick to the traditional gifts but give them an original twist.

Chocolate
Valentines Day chocolate gifts are perhaps the most in demand gifts ever, but they're also typical. To make your partner feel special you need think of some unique chocolate gifts. There are a lot of things that you can combine chocolate with to make it original, lots of people go with nuts or other types of candy but your partner might be allergic. Try chocolate dipped fruit that's available almost everywhere; a nice box of chocolate covered strawberries will be much more appreciated than a box of ordinary chocolates.

Flowers
Flowers are good for a date, they're ok for the birthday but for Valentine's Day they might not be the best idea. You know flowers are the same thing that you get your mom and your wife/girlfriend isn't going to be that enthusiastic about it. Also you can't just give flowers, you have to give something else too which means you're spending something like $100 half of which goes to flower delivery. Try and avoid flowers altogether.

Tickets to a game
This applies to everything that you think is absolutely exciting and you're trying to get your partner into it. It pretty much hits rock bottom on boring and torturous Valentine's Day gifts. If you really want to do something with your partner, pick something out of her interests instead of yours.
