Romance - How to Keep a Red-Hot Flame Burning in Your Relationship

Do you feel your love life has become a little stale lately? Why not infuse some life into it by resurrecting the lost art of writing love letters? Not the old boring "I love you, you love me, blah, blah" letters, but those with a modern and fascinating twist. You can even use modern technology and send them by email. With a little practice and patience, you can master this art. The two of you will reap the romantic benefits of anticipation and have a heart throbbing, take my breath away experience.

Do not worry if you are not a fantastic writer. If you are realistic and say what you feel in your heart, your literary skills will not matter. Tell your mate how he/she makes you feel from the heart. Remember back when you first met, the first time you kissed, the first time you two made love, when you realized you were in love with him/her and re-kindle that original spark when you write your love letter.

This is not the time to be overbearing or too graphically detailed in your writings about sex. Try to think in the terms of a PG-13 movie where the sex act is hinted at, but you never really see anything going on. Even though the movie was steamy or mystical, you never see the real sex act even though it plays in your own mind. Try to revert in your mental time machine to a time that almost all communications were done via letters being mailed.

If you need help getting started, go to your local library and try reading love letters that others have written. One source is the book, Passionate Love Letters: an Anthology of Desire, by Michelle Lovric, which contains beautiful love letters to look at and read. It contains actual photocopies of the love letters. You can read what Napoleon wrote to his beloved wife, Josephine, and what a host of other famous people, including the poetess Elizabeth Barrett had to say to her Twin Flame, Robert Browning.

Another great source is of course the Internet. There are multitudes of websites that have copies of famous and not so famous love letters to inspire you. If you see something that conveys the way you feel toward your lover, use the passages to craft your love letter. After a bit of guided inspiration from previously written love letters, you will quickly be able to master the art of sensual love letter writing.

These letters can be mailed or emailed, but make sure you set the rules with your partner "for our eyes only" so that the two of you can express yourselves openly and completely. This way you and your mate can both feel free to convey your innermost thoughts, dreams and desires without reservation.

Do not send these letters just on special occasions, but instead make it a ritual to express your burning flame via the love letter all year long. This will keep the red-hot burning embers of passion glowing continuously.
