Every Man Wants to Be a Hero

If you are a man, how do you become a hero? How can you take the first step towards a better life today and become someone's hero? Here are just a few steps to help you along your way to become a hero in the eyes of your loved one.

1) Be honest. Truth is rarely heard, but always seen. At the foundation of every hero is truth. Let your yes be your yes, and your no be your no. Take it from the Nike commercial - just do it - do what you said and say what you would do. Dad's if you tell your kids you will take them to the beach next weekend and they respond, "Honest? Cross you heart, Dad." You have not been unsuccessful with this concept of saying what you mean and mean what you say. Win through actions, not arguments. Don't tell me you love me, show me.

2) Stop and smell the roses. In the 21st century, as in no other time in history, it has become a real challenge to keep one's schedule un-hectic, uncluttered and significant. It's the little things that mean the most. Memories are made from small things, but have big significance.

A hero's number two job is to do something special for your loved one. Something no one else can do them but you. For instance? Send or make your parents a greeting card. Write the words of gratitude you want to say to them while they are alive, but haven't - at least not until now.

If your woman likes to dance, learn to dance together. Let her feel like a princess at the ball as you float together across the ballroom dance floor.
